These are pretty decent socks. They fit as expected. I wear size 12 shoes and they feel comfortable but are a bit scratchy. My experience with CloudLine Gray Socks is that they get softer over time. The more you wash and wear them, the more comfortable they become. They are long enough to cover my ankle without going too big on the calf. Toe seams gather slightly to create extra room in the toe box without squeezing the toes or leaving them too loose. I would buy them again for hiking as they are thin and comfortable.
