Review on SUPCASE UB Pro Series Case for iPad Pro 11 2018 Release – Pencil Charging Support, Built-in Screen Protector, Full-Body Rugged Design, Kickstand & Protective Cover (Black) by Jason Cavett

Let me start by saying that I have come to rely on SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle cases for all of their electronic devices they carry cases for, they simply offer the best value and protection . Not only that, but the customer service is exceptional in my experience. A few years ago I bought SUPCASE to protect my (newly released) iPhone 6. The case came from all angles, it had a built in screen protector that didn't clump and kept the touchscreen working properly, it slipped and locked. easily out of pocket but there were rubber grips on the back to prevent it from sliding off the table. Simply put, I was more than satisfied. After a little over a year of use, the adhesive holding the protective film in place failed and I notified SUPCASE. They sent me a new case for FREE. I was already sold to a product and would have paid for another but customer service closed the deal. Since then I have purchased SUPCASE UB cases for all my products which led us to this 2018 iPad Pro 11 case. Unfortunately, I didn't hesitate to buy SUPCASE as soon as I knew I was going to get the iPad Pro 11. In fact, I ordered a case before picking up the iPad so that the expensive new iPad would be protected as soon as I took it out of the box. However, when I bought my iPad Pro 11, this new UB case with pencil support wasn't out yet, so I decided to get another UB case that doesn't support the pencil. The case was absolutely perfect again, but the inability to charge the iPad Pencil 2 was a huge disappointment for me. If you are not going to use the pen, another case will work for you, but if you want to use the new Apple Pencil (2nd generation), you MUST purchase this case or you will need to remove it. Your case whenever you want to pocket a new pencil or charge your pencil (big pain!). The UB iPad Pro 11 pencil-less case is fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone who will NEVER use a pencil with their iPad Pro 11. It's just fantastic. At first I wasn't sure I wanted the form factor of the case itself to be larger to accommodate a pencil, but I found I really liked it. The extra width gives you something to hold on to without having to grab the tiny bezel and cover parts of the screen with your hand. The pencil charges and connects perfectly to the iPad and fits perfectly in the slot. There is a small hole on the back of the pen holder so you can take out the pen and slide it up or down to remove it from the slot. It's actually pretty intuitive after a few minutes of fiddling around. My only suggestion would be to make a small notch in the stylus holder so the stylus fits a little more firmly, as the magnet basically holds the stylus when the screen is facing down and Apple styluses are notoriously brittle. It doesn't take long to give even a hint of the pencil's security, but I'm satisfied nonetheless. In addition, there is no loss of sound quality, because all speakers have open ports on the housing, and the USB-C connection for charging is sealed with a plug. To be honest, I don't know how SUPCASE does it, but the buttons retain their responsiveness (volume, sleep/wake) and still click when pressed, so you're not sacrificing iPad functionality. Also, the stand works both upright (viewing orientation) and low angle (typing orientation), which is fantastic. I don't know how well the typing orientation will hold up over time, but whatever, it works, although I expect the view orientation to stand the test of time. I can't say enough. This is an excellent case. In general, buy this case if you use an apple pencil. Worth every penny, I've seen people complain about UB's built in screen protectors, but my experience is that they fit well and don't limit device functionality while still providing protection. I will continue to buy SUPCASE UB for all future devices and in the meantime I would highly recommend this iPad Pro 11 case to anyone and everyone. I wish it came out before I spent $$ on a case that doesn't support a pencil. Now it's just a paperweight. However, it protected my iPad for the first few weeks of use, although syncing/charging the stylus was a process. Thank you SUPCASE for another fantastic product. - Satisfied customer
