This is the best shaving cream I have ever used. I got this at the suggestion of a friend when I recently switched from the Gillette Mach series (so called because you're wasting money on new blades at supersonic speeds) to a double-edged straight razor. First off, the smell and feel is amazing - don't think it's like Hall's Mentolipt Cough Drops! Okay, maybe a little because it contains menthol and eucalyptus oil. Menthol gives your face a slight warming/cooling effect, especially on the final cold water rinse after shaving, which is a nice touch. The scent is masculine but not overpowering. Second, it lathers incredibly. My first tube quickly ran out from using too much - a tiny dab, about the size of a dime, is enough to turn into a full, thick shaving pad. I've used it in a bowl or just a tiny dab straight into the brush and applied to my face and both work great. Finally, the fact that it's in a toothpaste tube is good because you can squeeze out every drop and it's easier to travel with than an aerosol can. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey at $10 a tube, but it's from Italy and like I said, if you remember "a small dab goes a long way" then it will last a lot longer , since you will not spend it. Overall the smell, potency and experience of using this cream with a good dual blade razor made my morning routine so much more enjoyable. A few months later I've just ordered my third tube and still don't want to try other brands to compare as this one really is that good. They also offer a sandalwood scent, but then again, the menthol is so perfect that I have a hard time contemplating trying any other.
