This expensive mug. I love the aesthetics and the ease of cleaning. The top of the mouth has a small sliding lid that can be removed for easy cleaning. I was concerned that dirt might collect in the center of the lid. Holding this thing is like holding a regular <insert cafe name here> paper cup. There are a few things that bother me about Keepcup. The former is probably a personal choice, but the cork needs to be slowly removed to wash out the cup. Intrusive, but I prefer the cork look on glass. Next, there is no double wall. If you drop an iced drink, the condensation will just start dripping. This brings me to the last question. Price. I'm thinking $25-28 for 12 ounces and a little more for 16 ounces. Pay nearly $30 for a reusable glass mug that isn't even double walled. There are a few newer options now so I'll probably look at others at this point since it doesn't have double walls. Do I love my KeepCups? Yes, of course, every time I go to the coffee shop, I save at least 1-3 cups of garbage. Cafes should make sure to use reusable cups.
