Review on πŸ“· Nitze PA22-D: Enhanced Camera Cage Handle with ARRI Rosette for Ultimate Shoulder Mount Support by Matthew Gonzales

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not suitable for BMPCC

Bought for BMPCC 4K. First, a left-handed handlebar will only fit into the lowest connection points at the front of the cage. This results in the grip not being flush with the ground and the camera slanting up, which I really don't like. If you put a handle on the back of the cage, it will interfere with your cables, namely HDMI. It would be better than right grip. The main problem is that the handle has too much play when fully screwed on. I uploaded a video about it. I don't want my camera to move while capturing a frame and cause it to slip off. I tried twisting it very tight and it still slipped. The connection is tight, that's the part where the screw goes through the hole in the handle and that hole has an oversized hole. Your tolerances were too big here. As for the grip. never mind It didn't fit my hand at all, which is always a problem with curved and molded grips, they only fit a small percentage of users. Everyone has different hand sizes, so I prefer a cylindrical or more even grip for this purpose. I didn't make that "Fit" percentage. It was awkward and my index finger wanted to hover over the handle. In general, the handle is small. There is no space to move your hand up and down. I found the processing quality good. The rubber proved a bit stiff and not as soft as we would like. The aluminum was good and looked good, but the left hand position and grip play made it unsuitable for me. I really like my Nitze cage but this pen had to be sent back.
