I'm actually going to try this out as a cosmetic brush the other day, but to me they're much more useful as handy tools for manipulating different types of artistic media. I do clay and metal clay sculpting where they are a great tool for smoothing and shaping small bits and crevices. They're even more useful for applying and shaping enamels to metal, glass powders for melting and casting, paints, epoxies and resists - just about anywhere you need to paint or remove fine detail. I have thin brushes. this will do the same thing, but they're expensive, difficult to clean, and it's very easy to accidentally leave some material at the base of the brush where it's contaminating something else. So the "disposable” part is essential, although it certainly puts more strain on our landfill. They're relatively inexpensive so I don't worry about needing four or five for a project, and they're pretty durable and easy to work with. By the way, these packs have a set of beauty applicators and sponges that are definitely worth checking out.
