Review on πŸ”§ UPERFECT Portable Monitor Stand: Adjustable Aluminum Stand for Tablets & Portable Monitors by Dustin Ramsey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great stand too expensive for twice the price

This is a great stand for tablets and small portable monitors such as UPERFECT's own 15 inch monitor line. However, $70 is too expensive for this item as it is a white label product that you can buy from competing brands on Revain (Maxotar, AboveTEK) for $35-40 (EDIT, 2 days later: I'm corrected - competing brands have smaller devices Grips that don't reach as far as the UPERFECT are an inch shorter, so the UPERFECT version is probably the only product of its kind that fits a 15" portable monitor fits. Does it justify the extra $30 for this product (I'll let you decide.) I also prefer options that don't have the brand name prominently on the front of the product. I believe this product costs more because it has the The only product listing for this type of stand is. This is specifically designed for 15" monitors. For the price, I would expect the adjustable grip portion to be metal rather than plastic. In fact, my unit had a couple r Small scratches on the shiny plastic cartridge head edges, either during manufacture, packaging, shipping or possibly a previous return from another Revain customer. In general, such plastic parts should be covered with a removable plastic film for protection during shipping. The maximum height of the device is too low for my purposes when used with a 15" portable monitor, as the extendable grip portion essentially holds larger tablets or the monitors need to be positioned even closer to the bottom than if you were using this stand a tablet or a smaller phone that wouldn't require too much expansion of the expansion area. For the size and height of my 10" iPad, the included Allen wrench does a great job of adjusting the tightness of each of the three connections, resulting in the monitor stand providing a very stable position for non-touch monitors. However, I cannot recommend this stand for touchscreen monitors as the stand is not heavy or strong enough to withstand the vibrations when users press on a heavier screen. This is normal for 10 inch tablets or smaller.
