Anyone wondering if this will work in a Mansfield flush valve? Yes, that's right! I've had problems with this toilet since I bought the house 2 years ago - the chain kept falling off. I did a little research and found that the chain can't be used - you need an arm long enough to slip through the loop hole on the purge valve. And you can't just get any replacement - it has to be long enough. It worked. My first attempt at fixing something like this was easy (the hardest part was tightening the nut - I ended up holding it and used a Phillips head for the screw). I had to flip the lever from the picture as it prevented the float from moving, but it didn't hit the ceramic front. That works great. This is HIGH QUALITY that will last. The handle is strong and beautiful. The handle isn't plastic, it's solid metal. I love letting it off now - the handle goes down gently and comes back slowly. No more tripping, no more breaking chains and no more cheap handles. I was able to do this job in less than 15 minutes and have never worked with plumbers - new homeowner. So proud of me!
