Washed immediately after purchase. Not super soft, but not rough either. I wasn't expecting it to be soft so it turned out to be softer than expected. I thought he would look different in my room lol but he looks the same, I need to decorate to make him look better. This is a good product. My blanket is crumpled underneath. So I think it's a bit small for my royal comforter. I could do a few extra ties to hold it up, but I guess that's what happens with most duvet covers: the bottom, which hangs off the bed, is thick, and the top, which covers it, feels thin to the touch. If anyone knows how to quit then add Q and A.Pillow Cases are a perfect match. And the fabric is a nice beach sand hut linen style with texture so it will look great with a beach theme. I think the nautical style might be a bit out of place for this (navy blue and white stripes), but anything with seashells and the like should go. Oh, it's off-white, it matches my white Target pinstripe bedding. —— (Note: I didn't have any other better photos of my bed lol just look around)
