On the upside, these are excellent gloves to keep hands warm in cold and dry weather. They are light, soft, warm, and comfortable. Unfortunately, they are not what they claim to be. They are neither water resistant or waterproof and thus unsuitable for use in snow or rain.Fit wise, the medium size fit my 7 year old well with some room/length to grow. We will get more than one season from these for sure. Nice features, too. The banded wrist and adjustable wrist band keeps the gloves snug and snow out. But would have been nicer if the arm shafts were longer. There are buckles on the gloves to keep the two gloves together and from getting lost during travel or in storage. Little hands and fingers can move and bend easily in these. These are also attractive. Lovely color and pattern.Other reviewers tried their gloves on and said they were wonderful. We actually took ours up to the mountains on a snow day. They were soaked through to the insides after just 20 minutes of snow play. basically making a snowman. We had to take them off after 20 minutes. These gloves might be great for dry weather but they won't keep hands dry or warm in snow/rain.
