It's a hassle and I almost never return stuff, but I think I'll return this. (Update: I returned it and it wasn't really a big problem, the process went smoothly). Bought this to replace a $50 action cam that died. and the video quality of this $100 camera is much worse. I think it's ok, like a toy camera for kids. but i wanted her to make videos on youtube and the quality is not nearly good enough. I really wanted to like this camera, it has some nice features, especially the remote control, but I just can't do it. Camera but bad picture quality killed it. Also, the auto exposure mode tends to overexpose everything, making it too bright. and the guide was pretty much useless. Another big problem is the microphone. Actually a very good microphone. I was happy with the sound quality. But the battery is soldered inside and there is no way to replace it. All batteries wear out over time. This means that at some point you throw away the microphone. One of the big problems with Amazon is that they fucking compress uploaded images and videos. A number of reviewers have posted video samples, but the quality of the camera image cannot be said due to the compression. All uploaded images look worse than they really are. but believe me, real pictures are pretty bad too. Disclosure: I paid full price for this camera and nobody tried to sway my opinion, not even my cat. I rely heavily on other people's reviews and try to write quality reviews in response.
