I really wish I liked this minimalist NBONAL 38mm men's watch better. I was already impressed by how they looked on the Revain list and was impressed by how they were presented in a simple but elegant watch box when they arrived. While I had high hopes and expectations for this NBONAL watch given its touted "Swiss movement” and edgy, minimalist looks, my husband pointed out one flaw which he noticed and which disappointed me, despite the watch looking so beautiful . I asked my husband to help me try out this NBONAL watch as he had some experience with various men's watches and still wears one of them regularly. Overall, despite this watch's many great qualities, the flaw it noted really detracts from my overall rating. On the plus side first, this is definitely a minimalist watch with a totally clean dial. There are only 2 hands (hour and minute), so the dial is very concise. We received the NB-183G-A11 with a beautiful black dial, mesh strap and stainless steel case. The stainless steel mesh strap is of better quality than other watches in this price range. The harness is also equipped with a closure system that is both secure and easy to put on and take off. The dimensions of this slim watch correspond to those of a smartwatch: the case diameter is 38 mm (approx. 40 mm to the end of the crown). My husband agrees that this is the perfect size for such a minimalist watch because it stays true to its classic Bauhaus style history. My husband wore it on his wrist and it was very comfortable for him. I also thought it looked very attractive on his wrist, especially under the cuff of his shirt. So all these great qualities in a watch that currently costs just under $60 seemed like a lot. I've been thinking about ordering some for graduation and Christmas gifts. My husband then turned the hands over all the hour markers and found that the hour hand was about 3-4 minutes behind the minute hand in many places. This means that when the minute hand reaches the 12 o'clock/midnight position, for example, the hour hand has not quite reached it and is not at the 12 o'clock mark or behind the minute hand. Sometimes the defect is less noticeable, but at 6 o'clock it's very noticeable when the hands should be perfectly vertical, but here they're not. Unfortunately, the fact that this is such a minimalist watch makes this flaw that much more noticeable. Since the company has opted for the Swiss Ronda quartz movement, high precision is expected. However, once seen, this flaw is difficult to ignore. However, there are so many other things this watch gets right that I give it a 3.5 star rating. If there wasn't one disappointing flaw I would give this watch the highest rating.
