They were working great until one of them went into a constant hiss when I pressed the PTT button. The instructions do not say anything about how to change the settings. Even at minimum volume, the sound is too loud. I've searched the web, read the entire manual and can't figure out how to fix this. Update: I received a reply from the seller with instructions on how to reset a walkie-talkie that generates static. The solution worked great and we are excited again! If anyone ever needs to perform a factory reset, here's what to do: 1-Remove and replace the batteries. 2-Turn off the radio by pressing and holding the power button. 3 - Press and hold the PPT (talk) button and the power button for a few seconds until the walkie-talkie turns on again. This restores the default settings and lights up the noise.
