I had an old wired Homedics and would never consider buying a wireless one because I was worried about the power supply. This machine is powerful enough. It's very quiet; barely audible at the lowest level. I also never ran out of batteries, even after 10 minute sessions trying to work a tight back. The effect is strong enough. Definitely as powerful as my wired homedics. This device does its job without any problems. There is no doubt that this machine delivers what it promises. He does what he says. It's a bit long and heavy. That means even an average session can tire you out. When you relax, the car gets heavier. I wish it was cooler. Also, it is difficult to insert the massager into the muscle by simply holding the handle. You have to raise your hand on the device to really squeeze it, and the top isn't shaped for a good grip. This device is expensive but I have not bought any other cordless massagers. Maybe I really don't know how much a cordless massager costs. The box is really nice and has a storage bag which I don't need (if I have one I will use it instead of keeping it).
