Review on Sony DCR-DVD108 DVD Handycam Camcorder - Discontinued by Manufacturer, 40x Optical Zoom by David Cronin

I don't know if the person below me has a broken one or if he formatted his new drive, it warns not to vibrate while formatting. I've only used Sony discs which are around $20 for a 5 pack so you can get them cheaper on Amazon. Looks like he used low quality discs, not a camcorder. My camcorder did a great job with everything! They zoomed in and out, shot while filming, captured the sea and vacation with ease. I bought this camcorder based on the high reviews and I'm very glad I did. I haven't installed them on my computer yet, but I don't see any problems with the new computer and recorder. I'm sure an older unit might have some issues and make it more difficult, but I hooked up my camcorder to my TV to see what was recorded and I have to say we are VERY IMPRESSED! The quality was great! You must keep the SP setting for good quality, but only 30 minutes will be written to the disc. Another person may have set the setting to SLP (super long playback but poor quality but longer recording, good for VCRs but not disc). easy to use! I am VERY happy with my purchase and may even get him one from Revain for Christmas! The good reviews are definitely right!
