I have bought several of these tapes over the past year and this one has become my new favorite. I have an average wrist size and the reasons I like this strap are: 1. The length of the strap is perfect - not too long - so it doesn't snag on things. 2. It's convenient. 3. Stylish holes allow air to circulate under the band. 4. Attach quickly and securely. While you should be able to swim with the Fitbit 3, I don't put it in water (swimming or showering). I also don't think water would work for this group. The advert says it's real leather - it appears so. The metal parts look like brushed silver metal with a black floral print. It looks nice but not too much. I've just started wearing it and I never hesitate to update my reviews if new information is helpful and I hope the photos are helpful!
