I used them in a standard non-dimmer cartridge. After a month or two, the first light started blinking erratically, about once every five seconds. I started using a second bulb after that and it lasted longer, but after a few months it started blinking about once every three seconds. It wasn't as dramatic [al(sic)] as the flash, but it was annoying. The mirror surface is smooth and uniform, so the reflection is beautiful and clear. I wouldn't recommend them if you need reliable, even, continuous light.
