The purchase brought only positive emotions.

At first I tossed between 650D and 60D. The first is also a very worthy device. In any case, both of them are equally suitable for unhurried shooting (and 600D too). The difference is noticeable only when "reporting", when you need to have time to "shoot" a series, and only then choose a good shot. For this, the 60D is better suited. But compared to the 600/650, it has larger dimensions and weight, and you should not forget about this either. So decide for yourself what is more important to you :)
And of course, when buying, you should not forget about good optics, a fast memory card, if anyone plans to shoot a lot indoors, or in the dark, then an external flash. I took the carcass and separately two lenses (Tamron 17-50 / 2.8 with a stub, and Canon 85 / 1.8) and a 430EXII flash. Happy as an elephant.

Pros

As a replacement for the 400D, this camera is one big plus. I liked the burst speed. Feels good in the hand. In general, the ergonomics are excellent, all the buttons are in place. additional screen with indication of shooting parameters with illumination - it is convenient to use at night. Relatively small carcass weight (compared to "metal" counterparts) I'm not particularly critical of the body materials, the main thing is that it be of high quality. With the 400D, which also has a plastic body material, for 4 years of active shooting, in nature, in the rain, with small bumps, I did not experience any problems. I liked the battery life. It is the same as on the 5D, unlike the 600D and 650D, at first I wanted to take the 650D (I also liked it very much), but the 60D is better suited for reportage shooting, because the rate of fire and battery charge are higher. About the quality of the picture, perhaps, it makes no sense to write, you can see in my profile. In general, I am very pleased with my device. I also like the sound of the shutter :)

Cons

For me, not only a disadvantage, but a surprise, after the 400D there was a button on the mode dial that prevents the wheel from accidentally turning without pressing this button. How it can be "accidentally" turned, I have no idea. But it seems to be a matter of habit. The price of course came out tidy (see comment)
