This is my first DSLR since my old Minolta XG-7. Okay, I'm dating myself, but I'm such a cheap date. lol. The device was easy to understand, set up and use. Waiting an hour and a half for the battery to charge requires some patience because I like it to go hand in hand with the thrill of having something new right away. Even when taking pictures in the backyard, the quality is incredible. I like the auto focus feature. SLR cameras have come a long way in 30 years. The built-in editing and filtering features are nice and work well. I have ordered a zoom lens for this camera and can't wait for it to arrive as I love it, Photographing landscapes and animals. There is so much beauty to photograph in Virginia. Also, there is a family of deer that roam the field next to my yard and I wanted to get some really cool shots without scaring them off. I can't wait to see my friends' reaction when they see some of my new photos appearing in my digital frame. I am very happy to be back in SLR country. I remember all the great times with my old camera and can't wait to create new memories with this one. My old point and shoot figure was fine, but it certainly takes the most incredible pictures I've ever seen. The pictures look like they're out of a magazine.
