Review on 🧣 YETI Lowlands Blanket - Versatile Multi-Use Blanket with Travel Bag, in Smoke Blue by Whitney Richardson

Its worth it. Honestly.

Look, I've got it. It's a $200 blanket. How can it be worth it? I spent most of the year looking for the perfect picnic/camping blanket, ordering and returning 3 different brands before finally deciding to try Yeti's insanely expensive product. Here's how it compares to the competition. The fabric on the "Quilt" side is better in every way. It's soft and comfortable, yet durable. It's more or less waterproof on its own and will wick away moisture if someone spills water on it. It stays clean and everything from dirt to dog hair brushes off easily. I don't know what magical fabric they chose for this side of the blanket, but it's perfect. Oh, something stained it? no sweat Spot treat the stain and toss it in the wash. Boom. The waterproof fabric on the back of the duvet is a marvel. As pliable as the fabric of a blanket, it appears to be woven from an original technical material that feels thick and impenetrable, yet fluffy and flexible at the same time. This makes the entire product appear as one solid block rather than two incompatible materials sticking together. Many competitors felt like a tarp and a cheap felt blanket poorly stitched around the edges. See below. It seems obvious that when you combine two materials you want them to feel like one cohesive blanket, but all other budget options struggle to achieve that. That. The fabric part of their blankets would detach from the waterproof part, and you would end up with a messy mess. The Yeti duvet has the fabric and waterproof sides sewn over the entire body of the duvet. You can see this stitch in the diamond thread patterns on the side of the fabric. They make the product robust and durable. There is no random clutter here. - The tote bag is wonderful. It's made from the same material as the waterproof side of the duvet and has a great strap that's easy to sling over your shoulder when you're carrying it to the park. The zipper opens the bag WIDE for easy entry. Maybe there's a right way to fold a blanket, but I never have to worry about it. Simply fold or roll it to the length of the bag and stuff inside. There is enough space. I could go on, but I'll stop here. This is the perfect picnic blanket. Period. If you're an idiot like me who can afford to spend $200 on a blanket, don't be stingy. It's really worth it.
