GREAT t-shirts made!

I made some for distance learning teachers, spiritual clothing. I've never made t-shirts with the Cricut Maker, but cost is an important consideration for the school and teachers. It took me a few tries to figure out what settings work best for 100% cotton shirts. I've found that cutting is best done on a Sportflex (mirror, of course). Once I forgot to mirror and the backing side was thick enough not to be wasted. I was able to cut another pattern on the right side out of it. It washed up well too. I was so happy to see how easy it is to cut weeds at the right depth of cut. I love the flexibility of vinyl. It's a cold scrub, but I pulled a few while it was warm and it worked pretty well, except for fine lines. I made the first batch of t-shirts with a 9 x 9 cricket press and a few with my new heat press. They were good with a small press, but they were FABULOUS with a heat press. The instructions are right on the envelope with the temperature and time, and there are also instructions inside that I thought about 15 shirts were great after taking a break to weed more vinyl, I didn't understand that before. I would definitely buy again. I liked that there were multiple colors to try on different colored shirts.

Pros
  • Thermal transfer sticker
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Hard to work with! It’s too sticky and it makes weeding impossible.
