Review on IPearl MCover Transformer Compatible Outside by Nick Palacio

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is a regular hard case.

Hello, I was looking for a hard case for my Asus T100HA 2 in 1 (AKA Tablet PC). This was the only hard case I could find available on Revain at the time of this review. Came in a fairly thin plastic bag. It also includes a simple guide. You also get two parts - one for the tablet/screen and one for the keyboard. PROS: - Maintains the "slim" tablet PC form factor - Precise cutouts for ports (e.g. USB, headphone jack, etc.) - Relatively easy installation - Once switched on, it protects the device relatively well...for except for the hinge, or the area where the keyboard and tablet meet. NEGATIVES: - The hinge (where the tablet and keyboard connect) is FULLY exposed and not protected/covered. It is prone to damage - The handle is relatively unusable. Note the photo of me holding it by the handle in its natural or neutral state. Most of the weight shifts to the right and could potentially open the keyboard cover. Otherwise your tablet may be damaged. Relatively useless keyboard vents. There are no vents on the keyboard part of the T100HA, so I don't know why vents are needed. The notches on the underside of the keyboard protrude slightly. This causes your palms to scrape or scrape while typing. Please see the picture of my palm over the notch on the keyboard. - Remove injuries in general. One could argue that this is a good thing and leads to a more secure fit on a tablet PC. I can see the notches break slightly when removing the mcover. - The notches on the handles can scratch surfaces such as the table top. NOTES:- You can remove the handle yourself. It will take some effort, but it is possible. Notches on the handle (for holding the handle) allow the keyboard to be lifted slightly.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Too long to wait
