Review on 🐢 CANIDAE PURE, Grain Free Limited Ingredient Premium Wet Dog Food, 12-Case by Stephanie Adams

Pretty good, but could be better

Like the others, this version of the Canidae fish based formula is overall pretty good in terms of ingredients but not perfect. The taste is pretty good as they are comparable to other formulas and easy to mix food with other things. Actually there are only two problems. Like many modern foods, they're loaded with unhealthy oils instead of healthy fats. Coconut oil or good quality salmon or krill oil are good sources of fat. Even avocado oil will do. They use sunflower oil, which causes plaque buildup in the arteries. We will not give our animals any food that we would not eat ourselves, so we will not use it in the long term for this reason. If they switched to organic coconut oil, or a quality metal removing fish oil, or didn't add any oil at all, it would instantly become one of the best products out there. I personally think they should just omit the butter to add some more fish since fish makes a person buy this for their furry baby and leave the choice to add extra fat to the butter or not. a person who buys groceries. The only other problem is that to prove to people that they put whole peas in their food, they couldn't puree the food all the way. It's not a pure pie, making it difficult to mix it up completely if you have picky kids who prefer smooth and uniform food. My dogs prefer smooth food as we add so many other ingredients to it and it makes a good base for that, but they seem to accept the presence of the peas as long as I mash them into a pea paste. rather than leaving them whole in one meal. Again, this is quality food from a great brand, but takes some work. Dog food should not contain oil. The high quality fat in fish is more than sufficient to meet the fat needs of the feed. If not, then the food contains too many carbohydrate fillers and is not a good choice. When this food comes out with no added oil and some fish I will update my review but as far as the current formula is concerned it falls somewhere in the middle of the best products, around four stars. Good luck finding the right food. for your fluffy babies. In our house, it's a mix of the best canned food, clean fish, whole foods, and the like, but even a canned diet can be healthy as long as it's made of quality ingredients, is lower in carbs, and doesn't have any harmful or dangerous ingredients.
