It takes some learning time to get it working properly. This time I read the instructions that came with it before using it. I fully charged it before first use. Then when it started I adjusted the device to the required air pressure as I don't really know how to set up bars... I took a suitable connection fitting, lit it... Several times while filling up, it just switched off. According to the instructions, this would happen once the desired air pressure is reached. This was not my case. It was barely full. At that speed I could inflate it with my mouth, faster... My first thought was overheating causing constant power cuts. I inspected the device, it felt cool and I certainly didn't smell a burning smell... I kept questioning the device to see if I could get it to work properly. In my search for the reason for this horrible experience, I found that it was user error that was not mentioned in the instructions. My problem was at the junction where the hose connects to the air filled element. In my case, I allow the weight of the tubing to flex to restrict airflow into the item. As a result, the air pump assumed the element had been inflated to the correct selected air pressure and automatically shut off as intended. When I got the air hose and Free Airflow device my problem was solved and it worked great! Can't speak to battery life as I've obviously used more battery based on how I originally used the pump. But even with the extra time it took me it still worked, a total of about an hour start and stop before I got it right... Finally it's loud. You should not use it after 10pm on most campsites with noise restrictions. It will be unsettling...
