The second time I bought this product it was a bit softer and darker than the first time. However, I still use it and prefer it to all other eyebrow products. I used to buy automatic brow pencils until I realized how little product I actually get from them - almost nothing! This old-fashioned wooden pencil is much more profitable and lasts a long time. Plus, it won't dry out or break down like plastic. I have found that I cannot use it alone because it is too soft. So I line my brows with the Perfect Brow Pencil and then blend them with powder using the brow brush. Any dark eyeshadow or other powder will do. Finally, I use a liquid eyebrow pencil (yes, ink like a highlighter) to trim the edges. It takes some time, but the image lasts all day.
