It's more useful than we thought.
When we discovered the microwave didn't have a built in timer we were furious! We needed it! So we bought these magnetic kitchen timers. We've found that they magnetically stick to the top of the microwave. We started using them and they worked well. We then used one on the kitchen table - it was easier to read there. Then, after setting 40 minutes, we sat down to watch TV and took a timer with us to keep track of time. Also, the timer can be put in your pocket when you move. So the timers are much better, more versatile than the timer on the old microwave and we are very pleased.
