I bought this coat for my daughter. She's small at 4ft10 but heavy on top with double ribs so finding something that has room on top and doesn't drag on the bottom is a challenge. We also live in New England and winters here range from spring morning temperatures to polar afternoon gusts. I order a big one for her and she said there is not enough space in her hands. I tried it on and found it fit snugly around my chest, I'm a size 38C. I returned it and ordered XXL. She loves the fit of the sleeves and zips them up with ease. I'll have to see if it can be altered to shorten the sleeves for her. She tried it last night, it was 29° and she liked the coat. The quality is excellent and should last a few years. I am very happy with this coat, I will recommend this brand.
