This is my third sonic/ionic toothbrush. They are ALL effective and work extremely well leaving me with sparkling clean teeth every time. What I love about this toothbrush is that it runs on a standard AAA battery. BRIGHT. That will take months. No charging cable, charging station and other unnecessary clutter. If the battery runs out after a few months, replace it. I can't tell you how much I hate rechargeable batteries that can't be removed and replaced. If they die, the toothbrush dies too. I've lost SEVERAL toothbrushes because of the battery. No problem with that. Don't complain that it's 2022 and that obsolete energy sources are being used. Because of this, the brush should last a VERY long time. There is a light on the bottom of the handle that needs to be turned to put the battery in the brush. As a precaution, just in case, I added the silicone tape I had on the handle to seal that slot so water never got in there. You have to use it by touching the metal plate with WET fingers. I love the brush and want it to last, so I keep the silicone band there, right over the light source, to hide that crack. I used a size 7 silicone strap from the multipack I had. I did the same thing with another Ionpa toothbrush 2 years ago and it's still fine. Sometimes water finds a way. You should also use this in a well-lit room and the bottom of the hand cannot be covered with hands blocking the light. So be careful until you get used to holding it so that it's in the light and change position. The brush has 2 speeds that are not aggressive but definitely powerful enough to clean your teeth. The included brush head is thin. I LOVE it because my teeth aren't that big. You can always brush your hair in small circles, Devon. The bristles seem like a cure to me and I see they offer other soft and other options that are sold separately but are well priced here at Revain, 4 for $16. It has no timer, pause or auto shut off. . You're an adult and you should know when your teeth are clean. I like not having it. I'll decide when I'm done and when I should move on to another part of my mouth, thanks. This is a great brush, very similar to my Ionpa except for the marker at the bottom of the handle and no timer/pause. . I find the Ionpa easier to hold because it has 2 metal plates, one on the front and one on the back, so it works no matter how you hold it. I can't say one cleans better than the other as both make my teeth squeak and can be heard over 15 feet away. I used this with a tiny stick of clear xylitol gel toothpaste for cleaning. After that I use a manual brush with some Apagard to remineralize which gives a very quick brush. It costs $90, Yonpa $50. Ion โ that's ridiculously expensive. Ionic and Sonic together make a great brush. Your dentist will be proud of you. Now I'm waiting for the next generation of toothbrushes that offer sonic, ionic and blue/red light therapy. Add more ultrasound.
