Bought for my daughter who just turned seven. She loves the set! The animals are adorable and the kit is of good quality and a great way to start a sewing kit that will last for many years. The only downside is that for a younger child, an adult needs to be actively involved. So if you are planning to buy this for someone who is employing their child, this is what you need to know. My daughter did a few simple straight stitches, loved darning and of course wanted to pick out all the accessories. But I sewed most of it and especially the little details like the dog's tongue and ear. The chopstick came in handy for stuffing narrow parts. All in all a great set but requires adults, I would say up to 12 years old? But also a great way to bond with a younger child and teach sewing skills. Attached are photos of our creations! I think they are actually nicer than on the packaging!
