I read some of the reviews before I bought it. I was a little worried because some of the reviews said they weren't as thick as expected. I can see how thick something is in my mind's eye when dimensions are given in centimeters or millimeters. I didn't grow up with the metric system. I took a tape measure used for sewing and measured the circumference around these hangers. They are very good 1-1/4 inches! In millimeters it will be more than 35 mm. I figured it was a measure of the thickness versus the size of the ring. I wear a size 8 on my ring finger. If you put a ring on this hanger, it will be approximately a size 4. Long story short, I took a picture of the cheap hangers I already had (turquoise and brown), which I paid ten for about $1.25, and set them aside next to this thick white hanger. I like these hangers because some of my winter clothes are too heavy for cheaper hangers. I think it's perfect! Despite all the reviews saying they weren't that fat, you couldn't be more wrong! Maybe you commented on the wrong point? Don't be afraid to get them because they will serve you well. In fact, I don't think they're thicker than these. At least I've never seen thicker ones.
