kudos to the intelligent engineering for putting all the pieces together in one small package. It almost looks like a challenge. When mine arrived and I was almost assembling it (a no-brainer, btw) I was trying to figure out how to attach the power supply (which fits on the top shelf). Turns out it's plugged in while mine was cut off. Thanks for the great customer service. I sent pictures and explained via text chat that I just need a replacement top shelf with the power adapter attached. They found this part and shipped it with no hesitation or apology. BUT. after all, it's a piece %#*#. The pressed wood finish is terrible. The lampshade is rolled up - plastic inside, tarpaulin glued on the outside. The clips on the cheap frame and the rear side edges are literally connected with Velcro. I'm presenting the best options in bulk at half the price - I mean it looks SERIOUSLY cheap. I use it in a basement bedroom that only teenagers will ever see so I bought it, I assembled the thing twice so I use it. But if I were you I would keep looking. If I had seen it assembled I would never have bought it for half the price. For over $100 I would expect something like this, which is below decent levels. It doesn't make this character.
