I wasn't sure about the size, but the coat fits perfectly. The jacket is of very good quality. Keeps him warm without having to wear extra clothing. The inside of the jacket is plush and soft. He can move and walk freely. I have washed the coat and dried it on a gentle cycle in cold water (before putting it on) and it has held up well. The model is a 16 pound handsome male with a 19 inch chest and 16 inch back length. I'm glad we made the purchase. Update: Bought blue and gold; I've washed them several times (on a gentle cycle and air dried) and the gold has started to tarnish in places. However, if staying warm is what matters, it's worth the purchase.
