Review on Ergodyne ProFlex 1051 Medium Support Brace by Alex Pollard

Great protection and back support!

A few months ago I injured my back while driving. I was receiving treatment but because I was moving I needed something to support my back. I have had ankle and knee braces (both made by Mueller) in the past and wanted to purchase a Mueller back brace (http://www.amazon.com/Mueller-Adjustable-Regular-1-Count-Package). /dp/B00267SFKC/ref=sr_1_4?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1450313438&sr=1-4&keywords=back+brace), but worried about heat and sweat. That's when I came across this product. Mesh is GREAT! Breathable and lightweight with excellent back support. I'm 6ft 2in and I found the strap to be wide enough but not too wide. There are two comments in the reviews saying it curls/folds: (1) it's probably because we (like me) have a bit more love around the center part that bends it, and (2) try to adjust the extra straps slightly higher to add an extra layer at the top to prevent bunching. An additional tip that has worked for me is to put it on while lying on your back so you can center the back brace. I've found that sometimes when I put it on while standing it shifts in the middle, so it helps if I lie down to make sure it's right in the middle. Be careful not to overtighten, however, to avoid damage that explodes when you get up.

Pros
  • Ergonomic supports
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
