I have a 19 inch monitor and the stand takes up all the space on my desk. I needed a wall mount to get rid of the stand and this did the job perfectly. Similar items at Best Buy etc were well over $100 with some going up to $200 so this under $30 stand was a great deal. It took me several tries to install it simply because I didn't read the instructions and made a couple of wrong assumptions, the first of which was which way to mount it. Once I got it right after installing it, I realized it wouldn't clear the top shelf of my desk. Definitely spend a lot of time with the front to make sure you install it properly and once installed it is portable and in the location you want it to be, which is ideal, otherwise be sure to use drum screws going into the sheets. Big weight. The only downside here, as described in other posts, is that the mount is difficult to stay in place due to the tilt and weight. It seems like every time you adjust the incline, the tensioning mechanism loosens enough that it won't hold. For me I just figured out how the tilt should be and found a small piece of plastic to put in my hand so it stays in one place. I wouldn't recommend this for a 20+ inch TV but for my purposes and the price it was a great buy.
