This is a beautiful blanket. It is MEDIUM GRAY and slightly off-white. This Viennese product did not have suitable curtains. At first I was concerned that I would not be able to match the gray tones and find matching curtains that would give me the "look" I wanted to achieve. Wow! I had no trouble finding something suitable. The duvet is quite thick but the slipcovers and skirt are a little thin. I can't use a skirt. From reading other reviews; I also bought a king bed for my queen bed. Thank you for this review because it helped me. The comforter is a bit short from the footboard to the headboard if you plan on folding it up and showing your pillowcases and pillows (if you have a queen-size bed). I'm fine with king size. The pillows are cute and of good quality. Hope this helps you decide. (Note: I wanted to add some gold and some turquoise as accents. I found a stunning Revain rug from Well Woven. It was perfect and at the perfect price.)
