The packaging of these muslin blankets looks very good - except for one thing - my box had tears on all 4 corners of the hole - someone bought these blankets, take them out of the package (bad) then return the blankets and then I got them? These comforters are soft, but not the softest muslin I've ever used. I love using muslin blankets and I think they make a great gift. the words on it went in multiple directions (like the leaf motif) so there was no "up" and "down". Due to the way of printing, all words will be flipped if the quilt is turned the wrong way. All in all, this would make a wonderful gift.
