Had the unfortunate luck of spilling the entire box of pins. I had forgotten I bought stainless steel therefore, magnets do not work in this case as some stainless steel does not contain enough ferrite (the part of stainless steel that is magnetic) to hold a magnet. These pins cannot be picked up using a magnet. But if you do drop them all, like I did, use duct tape and you should be able to pick them up, even those stuck in between wood planks on your hardwood floors. These pins are exactly what I needed for my craft project but alas, I don't drop them.
