There are some slight differences between this strap and the actual Garmin strap. I personally like this variant better. The thickness of the strap is slightly thinner so it feels lighter on my wrist. I noticed a couple of reviews saying the tape had come off the hand strap - I suspect they didn't use the second hand strap that came with the kit. I've been on several runs and haven't noticed a single shift, but I use both loops. The holes on these straps are closer together than the Garmin brand, allowing for greater size adjustment. There are no instructions in the box, but it's very simple: unscrew the screw, insert the new strap, screw the book back on. Doing this over a large bowl or baking sheet is highly recommended as the nut and bolt are very small and if you lose one of these in the carpet you will need to order a new set of bolts. After tightening the screw, be sure to tighten it until it cannot be tightened. Even slightly protruding screw could cause it to work loose or possibly snag on clothing. This item was absolutely worth the price. I would definitely buy again.
