This is a great starter kit that should cover all the initial needs of the average beard grower. There are a few minor quality issues that could cause the comb and brush to be discontinued prematurely, but for the price the seller is listing the item at, you're getting a good deal. It is an odorless standard wood for brush and comb. I used to buy cedar combs and wanted them to use them too. The bristles of the brush are usually cut to the same length. There are a few that are missing and clearly stand out. The comb is standard quality and the one I received had a tear in the middle. There's a small branch in the tree that probably cracked. So far it shows no signs of complete dichotomy, but I would think it's obvious enough to warrant a disqualification based on quality control. Overall this is a good starter kit, not for basic facial hair care. Updated 4/28/2016: spoke to the seller and they were grateful for the post and also made them aware of any quality issues. They happily replaced my current set with a new set without me having to send in a set with quality issues. Excellent customer service. Updating this post to 5 stars. Give them your business.
