Before that I bought an overpriced original adapter that didn't work with my Xbox One X. Didn't want an Xbox One X without an adapter. We rely on Kinect for voice commands (our second since the launch version finally gave up) and didn't want to give it up. I even tried contacting MS support but they were useless and suggested a soft reset which I was pretty sure wasn't necessary. Long story short, I bought it for half the price of a 1P model (about $30 with tax), plugged it in, and it worked right away. I didn't even have to restart the console. I will be returning the 1P adapter within a week and I am so happy that our family can yell at the Xbox again.
