I put it together myself. It wasn't very difficult and took about 30-40 minutes. It looks the same as in the picture. I have two cats and one fits much better than the other. One is a little awkward and looks a little silly when she enters the closet, but she fits in. The other one in the photos is perfect. I would say if you have a big cat or more than two it might be a bit small. Like me, I wish it was bigger so the cats can hold on to the bars more easily. I love that all the cushions are removable so I can wash them or replace them if needed. I don't like the pole part. They look a little wobbly. Not a ton, but enough that I suspect I'll have to tighten them up as routine maintenance from time to time. I would do it again.
