My son has fine motor and sensory issues and when I finally found a shoe that he liked I can say I was delighted. They are easy to put on and take off. No fasteners, no laces, no straps. However, they function like normal tennis shoes. The soles are real rubber (as opposed to synthetic material which is slippery and has completely flooded the market) giving him good traction when trying to scale the climbing wall. His black socks can be seen through the white mesh in the toe area, so the mesh is more of a medium mesh than a fine mesh.
