Hello. I used my crepe maker today and it works great. I won't echo all the other comments, but I agree with the following: - Don't use this plastic pancake spreading tool; it's useless. This creates a mess and doesn't spread the batter easily - instead of turning the temperature down to 5 levels - hands-free; agree with the recommendation to use a wooden spatula; I dropped a spoonful of batter into the dispenser and used a T-shaped wooden tool; It works - the birch wood roller spreader recommended here at Revain is $25 for a piece of wood. I think if you make pancakes for guests or family every weekend it might be worth the investment. The included wooden tools work well, although it takes a bit more practice and it's possible your pancakes will come out a little less round - be sure to buy some buckwheat flour before you start. The one-year-old daughter makes her own pancakes with the wooden spatula provided and flips them too. No need for the $25 wooden dowel. That works great. Our second weekend when we do them. With practice, yours will get rounder and bigger.
