Review on Semi-Permanent Hair Color, 094 Perky Purple by Got2b Creative by Barbara Majdoch

Let me start by saying that I use every hair color and brand in the world and have been coloring my hair for over 15 years. I bought this because I wanted a semi permanent purple that wouldn't stain my clothes and shower and it worked so in fairness I gave it a 4 star rating. I really liked that it's so thick (it's more of a paste than a dye unless you plan on thinning it with the included pastelizer) so it's easier to control. However, it is not enough in one bottle. I actually used a full tube of this and a full red from the same line to get a reddish purple and 2 tubes only covered 2/3 of my hair and my hair didn't even reach the length of my chin. I would recommend buying at least three times what you think you need if you don't plan to dilute it. I also caution against mixing colors as red has completely taken over and my hair is now more coral than anything else. I've been mixing colors for years but this has never happened before so the red should be very bright without being diluted by purple. I don't hate the color, but seeing burgundy in the bowl and orange-pink when dry wasn't exactly what I wanted. (And this was on bleached hair - you can't use this stuff without a blonde underneath if you want to see the color) All in all, the size and coverage were definitely not satisfactory, but I honestly can't fault the color of the product , since you always run the risk of confusing them. I'll just come back to Joico afterwards because of its reliability I think. I will say that it washes off the skin and towels very easily, definitely a plus.
