One day when I was taking a shower I was only using a rasp. I was so impressed with how well it worked that I had to go for a pedicure at home a few days later to really test the set. This set passed with flying colours. This kit was better than anything I've ever used, including paying for a pedicure. I wear shoes as little as possible, so the calluses on my feet are thick and hard. I can easily walk barefoot on the street. I live in Arizona and the streets are getting hot. I can still cross the street when the temperature is in the 90's. The calluses are so hard that razor removers don't work very well because the skin doesn't flex enough for the razor to penetrate. To keep them under control I have to have a pedicure every 4 weeks and still have to pay extra for corn removal almost every time. There is so much dead skin that it is difficult to keep feet clean. I was just looking for a rasp and decided I'd just throw the file away. Boy was I wrong! I used the rasp on the entire foot (the ENTIRE footprint, sides of feet and heels, tips of toes and sides of toenails) until nothing came off. In comparison, the rasp removed my calluses quickly. I used the uneven side of the file, and then the flat side in the same places, again, until nothing else came off. I can't remember the last time my feet felt so soft! Even after an expensive pedicure and paraffin. And they're so easy to squeak! The biggest problem I have with files and rasps is that the cuts are always too small to successfully remove all of the dead skin, even when used with a gel callus remover. The slots are too small to do their job. This rasp has BIG grooves! They're big enough to actually remove all of the dead skin without even cutting through healthy skin. NEVER has the skin on my legs become so thin that it hurts afterwards. I'm sorry I didn't take any before and after photos, but I honestly didn't expect them to work so well. They are so quick and easy to use that my feet will never hurt like this again. :) I expect to be able to use them quickly at the end of the shower to maintain those results. PS Sorry if my comment is a bit graphic. When I'm looking for a rasp, I always read reviews to see how bad people's feet are. Ratings mean nothing when we fight different battles. I have given graphical data on how bad my calluses are to other people who have ridiculously thick and hard calluses on their feet. I did not receive this product with a discount or offer. I bought it because I needed it and got nothing out of it other than great legs!
