Review on 🧱 HABA Germany Building Toys - Beginner's Building Blocks for Enhanced Play and Learning by Preston Molden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great toy in the building toys category

These cubes are just great. They are heavy, that's why our towers don't fall for days. I built a 5 foot tall one just to see how long it would last in the playroom and knocked it down myself five days later. Edges are clean and not sharp. The blocks are perfectly smooth. We also bought some awesome Haba blocks that we use for accents on our turrets. My 4 year old son loves these blocks. My little one, 8 months old, loves hitting blocks to make noise. Although my son cannot build a complex tower by himself, we will build with him and he still loves it. We build pirate ships, chicken towers, goat schools, islands, paddocks, rockets, doorbells and so on. The things we make actually replace so many of his plastic toys that we're going to get rid of a ton of them. We don't need a plastic zoo anymore, we can build one. We no longer need plastic dinosaur caves. However, there are a few toys that go well with blocks. My son's dump truck, which is big enough to haul these blocks, his garbage truck, which has a hatch in the back and can haul these blocks, and Bilibo (Search), which can behave like anything. If you like a streamlined playroom without a bunch of nasty stuff, these blocks are a great place to start. There are small haba block sets and marble bridges that come with this set and I think I'm more excited to get some of these than my kids are! I bought it from Amazon but Fat Brain Toys has great reviews and competitive prices. You can find all kinds of durable, imaginative, classic toys. Five stars!
