Review on ANDYCINE A6 Monitor 1920X1080 Gimbals by Ryan Frawley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It works but has many disadvantages.

I really have mixed feelings. In some cases, the screen offers good value for money. It's not the best quality, but it has a reasonable range of options and features. There are just a few minor issues. I had no issues with the screen, picture quality, or signal. One thing I thought was nice was the installation of a fold out bracket. The arm itself is fine, it doesn't always go straight, but that's not the point. Flip doesn't work very well. You have to tighten it just enough to be able to turn it, and if you turn it enough it can loosen. But the big problem is the position of the button. All buttons are located at the top of the monitor. So if you flip it over, half of the buttons are accessible but upside down, and half of the buttons are blocked by the panel. I decided to switch to a gimbal that I can flip just as easily without losing the knobs. While there are many options on the device, the interface to access it is a bit clunky and it takes some time to get used to all the buttons. I'm guessing it's about as bad as my Sony camera's menus, but that's not a plus. On the other hand, there are 4 programmable hotkeys for which useful functions are already programmed. The device does not come with a battery but uses Sony NP batteries which is a standard operating procedure for this type of camera. The unfortunate part here is the battery slot. To release the battery, you cannot just slide it out. You need to press the small tab just behind the battery and then slide to the tab where your fingers sit between the battery and the plastic wall. I can't tell you how many times I've pinched my fingers. The unit has 1/4" connectors on 3 sides except the HDMI side. There is also a 12V input and an 8V output which I don't use but is probably great for some people. It there is a headphone jack on the bottom which i haven't tried and a mini usb for updates which is really weird and cumbersome what devices released in 2018 have mini usb the world is changing micro to c if there If it weren't for the fact that I'll probably never use that port, that would be really annoying. I/O support format". The device doesn't have an HDMI output and that's a real disappointment compared to other devices. I really don't want to blame the device for one thing, but you should know: the cables in the packaging are horrible and will probably break with you, the micro-HDMI broke on me after a day of very light use. I don't think it's up to you to decide which one to buy, but be aware that you'll have to shell out $6 for the cable. It would probably be better if the manufacturer didn't include those cheap cables with the device because I suspect it's going to be more of an issue than it's worth. In summary: the video works well, has many options, the buttons and the interface are clunky. , Flip Bar doesn't really work, no HDMI output, bad battery setting, mini USB?, buy cable yourself. this could be something for you. If you're looking for something more user-friendly, this probably isn't it.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Somewhat easy to care for
