Review on ❄️ TRICO Ice Extreme Weather Winter Wiper Blade - 20 inch by Nick Gathings

you have to zip it Not for curves.

I doubt the rave reviews for these Trico Ice Extreme winter wipers as they are good for everything but. I bought them 2 weeks ago and installed them on my Astro to prepare for winter. The first thing I noticed was that it didn't sit on the windshield like others, but as it wasn't a very important part of my review I didn't mind. It didn't snow or rain and I didn't have to use them until one day a bit of damp hit and I was glad they worked better than the old wipers that were taken off, so I was easily impressed. It was finally snowing and after cleaning my car I wanted to turn on the wipers and they immediately popped out and the first thing I did was start recording but my frustration prevented me from getting an acceptable clip by community standards close. I've reinstalled them several times with the same result. The plastic stopper that snaps onto the pin isn't stiff enough to grip, so the sign will release when the snow creates some resistance. I didn't have time to roam around town looking for a replacement. That evening (the last evening) I literally had to travel through the snow with my family. My quick thinking inevitably led me to small zip ties in the toolbox after checking where the problem was and seeing that there was a small gap to thread the zip tie under the pin and back over the knot. That gave me enough confidence to continue after a short test ride. It's not perfect and will need to be replaced once I can determine who the liar is on all the products that Revain claim will fit my car. Don't even get me started on the rear wiper but in all honesty I can say that the wiper arm spring is weak and therefore does not maintain good pressure on the rear window. I can't speak to other types of wiper arms, but the pin style, or as Trico Ice's extreme winter instructions say "side lock", is absolute rubbish. Don't buy them if you have a needle-like hand, but if you do, don't use them in icy conditions (conditions other than sunny, but not really fast). But if you really want to live on the edge, I suggest investing in a Campark SLR so your demise is documented.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • It's ok
