My husband has this pillow and I've used it once or twice when my neck hurts started . I've tried other neck pillows in the past and they were too firm. I prefer a softer pillow. However, my husband's pillow was softer than the one I received. Not much, but enough that I don't want to use it. So we switched and now I have a softer one and she didn't notice the difference? They will soften over time and we've had the old one for about 2 years now. We are both very happy with the comfort, quality and durability. I am a nurse by trade and have seen many of these contoured neck pillows and often complain that they are too hard and uncomfortable. Soft-Tex is the best I know. It was a great deal too, basically two for the price of one.
