For the price you get what you pay for. They are absolutely bright and have different filters and color temperatures to choose from. They are in no way battery powered so I don't know why the system would want me to rate and mention the battery. Well, here's the bad part....they SHINTER! So bad! If you plug them into the same power source, let's say the ADAPTER they come with, the flickering is noticeable even to the naked eye, and it's even worse if you're using them to record video. Decreasing the brightness makes the flickering even worse. The supplied power adapter is almost unusable and very cheap. The output current is 2 amps and each lamp draws 2 amps. So by plugging BOTH into the included power supply, each lamp only gets half the power it needs to be fully bright. I've tried them with a 5 amp power supply which should give each light the required 2 amps of headroom and the flicker is still there. It seems that the electrical noise from the PWM in the controller returns to each other when they are powered in parallel. The only way to get rid of the flickering is to connect them to different power sources. Also, DO NOT connect it to your computer when doing anything with USB audio, the hissing comes from the motherboard during recording (it took me a while to figure this out, I thought it was my mic for a while). If you're buying them for photography, unless you have someone with photosensitive epilepsy around, the flickering should be manageable. If you plan to use them for streaming or video like I did, you'll need two good quality power supplies if you want both to work flicker-free.
